This year is on the 8th & 9th March 2008. Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Districts, challenge all other districts to compete in this prestigious event. Our theme this year will be “Deepest AFRICA”, so the usual Milk Carton Race Rules will apply but lets get in to the war paint and feathers to experience what BP would have experienced at Maferking in 1899.
Races start 1.00pm Saturday  Cubs , Scouts, Venturers and Rovers
Boat inspection and late entries  9.30am Saturday

Sunday – Survivors Race- Flour Bombs- two divisions-
1/Cubs and small Scouts 
2/Big Scouts,Venturers and Rovers

Cost is $4.00 and includes a badge for each person entered. Cheques made out to 1st Merewether Scout Group and send to

Limited badges available, 1st in basis with money
BYO camping gear, food and milk carton boat.

Everyone camps individually, under their own group flag, but need to supply a duty patrol to assist with toilet and shower cleaning.
