Joey Scout Adventure Challenge

The Adventure Challenge is designed to broaden each Joey Scout's life experience in the wider world. This is achieved through participation in activities to places not normally visited by your mob.

The Adventure theme runs in conjunction with the Aims, Principles and Educational Methods of Scouting. It provides an excellent theme for fun and active Mob Programmes.

When is it done: The Adventure Challenge can be run by Mobs anytime of the year.

Requirements for the Adventure Challenge are:-
1. Leaders programme and run two (2) outings to places unusual to your Mob.
2. Getting the Joey Scouts to take photos.
3. Leaders run an Adventure Programme for the Mob
4. Have your Joey Scouts fill in the Log Sheets about their outings and Adventure Program.
5. Using the Joey Scouts Photos and Log Sheets, have your Mob write about their Adventures.
6. Send your Photos and Mob Article, together with the badge order form and money to your Regional Commissioner (Joey Scouts)

Some suggested Adventures are:-

  • A trip to the beach, creek or water way
  • Travel on Public Transport
  • Visit a Zoo, Sanctuary or Wetlands
  • Go for a Bushwalk
  • See a Museum or Historical Place
  • Go to a farm – Sheep, Diary, Orchard or Market Garden
  • City
  • Botanical Gardens
  • Visit ay unusual Place in your local area.
