The Joey Scout Section is holding a “100 up challenge”.
This event has been organised for the weekend of 28th/29th July.
The aim of the challenge is to get 100 Kites in the air at one time.
This challenge is being held as part of celebrating 100 years of Scouting and it coincides with the opening of the World Scout Jamboree. Joey Scout District Leaders have arranged the venue and have advertised the venue, and time/date for this event in their districts.
To assist in achieving the goal, the section is offering kites for Mobs to purchase for their Joey Scouts and if they wish, Mobs should arrange for their group to pay for the Joey Scout’s kites.
Other sections of Scouts and family members may also like to purchase a kite to fly for the day at their own expense.
The kites are made from sturdy materials; they include the flying string and yellow and green tails.
